He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford M. Burton and Teresa Burton (Zollo); his wife Joan (Barnum); and his siblings, James Burton and Barbara Kline (Burton).
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen E. Burton (Douglas Raymond) of Raymond, Deborah Barber (Bill Brown) of Baldwinsville, NY. and Michael Burton (Lila) of Metairie, LA.; his sister Martha Cane (Chris) of Baldwinsville, NY; his granddaughter Mallory Schmuck (Shawn); his great grandchildren, Paige and Riley Schmuck; and his close friend Shirley Turcotte. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
