He was predeceased by: his foster father Harvey Mugglin; his daughter Sharon Van Patten; and his close friends, Chuck DeMarco and Russ Myers. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his close friend Charlotte Van Patten; his children, Todd Van Patten (Nicole) and Theresa Austin (Anthony); his grandchildren, Cory Hart (Todd Davison), Sheyanna Austin and Baron Van Patten; his great grandchildren, Aiyla Osorio and Aariya Osorio; his sister-in-law Heidi Beechner; and his friend Laurie Kline.
