He is survived by: his granddaughter Kinslee Schiefer; his mother Edna Schiefer; his wife Lorrie Schiefer; his sisters, Joann Schiefer, Heidi Rightmeyer and Carol Schiefer; his children, Christina Schiefer, Kimberlee Peterson (Jim), Karl Schiefer (Kristen) and Kenneth Schiefer (Amanda); and his stepchildren, Brian Potter, Elisabeth Parker (Brad) and Scott Potter (Casey).
Donations can be made in Gene's name to either Golisano Children's Hospital or The American Cancer Association.
