She was predeceased by: her son Stephen J. Sitar III; her parents, Lottie Dashner and Richard Briere Sr.; her foster mother Jean Beale; and her sister Dawn Heaney.

She is survived by: her husband Stephen J. Sitar; her foster father David Beale; her children, Jennifer Bowen (Michael), Candace Sitar, Melissa Garcia (Ray), Tisha Hanson (Jonathan), Shawn Sitar and David Sitar; and her siblings, Richard Briere (Lori), Michael Beale, Theresa Briere, Tammy Perry (Robert), Nancy Butler (Andrew), Robin Knapp and Amy Beale (Gleason). She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren; her 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home, Inc. (1604 Grant Blvd, Syracuse, NY 13208). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
