He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ralph Benton and Marie Benton; his wife Lynda M. Brown; his sister-in-law Sharyn Brown; his sons, Philip M. Jocko, John L. Jocko (Tricia) of Baldwinsville, Peter I. Benton (Kristin) of Mexico and Matthew L. Benton (Jessica) of Johnson City; his siblings, Tom (Lorraine) and Judy MacLachlan (Howie); and his grandchildren, Ashton, Ethan, Morgan, Lily, Evee, Abigail, Dominic, Eric and Paul. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews including a grandniece.
