He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary and John; his wife Mary; his children, Michael Sandhaas, Diane Hoefer (Ken), Joan Bain (Ed), Mary O'Leary (Jim), Janet Escher (Jon) and Annette Uvena (Travis); his grandchildren, Jenny, Eddie, Diane, Jessie, Kate, Ben, Maureen, James, John, Kenny, Owen, Harry and Abby; and his brother Jack. He was also cherished by in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
