He was predeceased by: his parents, John Doherty and Mary Doherty of Bronx, NY.. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Jane Breuer (Ronald), Erin Montenegro (Daniel) and Brian Doherty; his grandchildren, Ronald, Colin, Olivia and Daniel; and his siblings, Martin Doherty (Carolyn), Kathleen Breslin and Patricia Simari (Robert). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Ronald McDonald House, Doctors Without Borders (organizations John felt strongly about), or a charity of your choice.
