He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth; and his siblings, Claire and Maureen. He is survived by: his children, Sharon Murphy (Isobel Haddow), Evelyn Legg (late Kevin), Elizabeth Hodges (Christopher), William Murphy (Allison) and James Murphy (Marion); his grandchildren, Erin DaSilva (James), John Legg (Elisabeth), Kelly Legg, Patrick Legg, Katelyn Kuhn (Kevin), Jessica Brier (Mark), Michael Hodges, Terence Murphy, Timothy Murphy, Gillian Murphy and James Murphy; and his great grandchildren, Grace, Kevin, Aubrey, Kaden and Kieran.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice House 101 Laurel Rd. East Northport, NY, 11731 or the American Heart Association in James' memory would be appreciated.
