He was predeceased by: his father Leon D. Matthews, Jr.; and his children, Mikey Jr. and Jessie Matthews. He is survived by: his mother Sylvia Strode (Munzel); his children, Kayta (Austin), Tom (Shaney), Sylvia (Mike), Amanda (Matt) and Kyle (Megan); his grandchildren, Emma, Owen, Theo, Aiden, Kailyn, Elaina, James, Serenity, Jeffrey, Leah, Eli, Kennedy and Mav; his siblings, Leon Matthews III, Karen Emerson, Marty Strode, Shannon Matthews, Heather Rivera, John Matthews and Tammy Hardy; and his stepsiblings, Robbie, Shawn, Anthony and Joy Matthews. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the C. H. Landers, Inc. Funeral Chapel (21 Main St, Sidney, NY 13838).
Memorial donations in Mike's memory may be directed to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
