She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Mary Hofer and Jacob Hofer of Tschetter Colony; her husband David Wurtz; her children, Brian (Jaclyn), Justin, Darwin (Hannah), Harold (Marie), Marilyn and Rebecca (Tim); her sister Rebecca Decker; and her grandchildren, Danielle, Kendrie, Liam, Evelyn, Adaya, John Carter, Asher, Amber, Natalie and David. She was also cherished by her children, with the help of friends and family.
