He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas R. Smith and Martha Smith (Youngs); and his brother Richard D. Smith. He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas C. Smith and Joan Lieb (David); and his aunt Eileen Keeler. He is also survived by many cousins and friends.
