Alma June Smith Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma June Smith of Bainbridge, New York, born in Oxford, New York, who passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh McGowan and Ida McGowan (Harrington); her husband Clifford L. Smith; her former husband Holger "Corky" Striegler; and her siblings, Inath Hubbard (Lloyd), Earl McGowan (Joyce), Nora Craver (Kenneth), Sylvia Witchella (John), Reta Collier (Ward), Joyce Powers (Richard) and Ann Howard.
She is survived by: her children, Dale Striegler, Vicki Lamoreaux (Richard), Norma Tansey (Timothy) and Kay Striegler; her grandchildren, Lisa Striegler, Kimberly Webster (Brennan), Jacob Lamoreaux (Sherry), Sam Tansey, Adam Tansey (Asuka) and Alexis Tansey; her great grandchildren, Preston, Kira Webster, Lyla and Kaia Tansey; and her brother-in-law John "Jack" Howard. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
At June's request, please do not send flowers, but instead consider a memorial donation in her memory to either the Greenlawn Cemetery Association, or the First United Methodist Church of Bainbridge.
