He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacqueline M. Taber Nelson and Robert J. Nelson; and his sisters, Veronica Mayo and Roberta Bryant. He is survived by: his wife Susan Nelson (Staggs); his son Garret Nelson; his stepchildren, Jillian Lloyd (CJ), Rebekah Schreppel and Kiersten Yourkonis (Mason); his siblings, Linda Nelson Babcock (Donald), Sandra Nelson, Rebecca Batchelor (Chris), Timothy Nelson (Kim) and Andrew Nelson; and his granddaughters, Gracie Nelson, Madelyn, Samantha Lloyd and Savannah Allen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; many close friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to ALS Association Upstate New York Chapter 135 Old Cove Road, Suite 213 - Liverpool, NY 13090 in his memory.
