He was predeceased by: his parents, Leighton Reinhold and Helen Elizabeth Carlson (Miller-Milewski); and his brother Leighton B. Carlson. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Carlson; his children, Christian Dennis Carlson (Heather) of Boulder, CO and Hope Stephanie Carlson of Charlotte, NC; his stepsons, Randall Barraco (Melissa) and Ric Barraco; his grandchildren, Helen Jane Carlson, Charlotte Elizabeth Carlson and Christian Wade Carlson; his stepgrandchildren, Amanda Barraco, Danielle Barraco and Anthony Barraco; and his brother-in-law Duane E. Mellor, Jr..
