He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank J. Ryan, Sr. and Jane Foley Ryan; and his siblings, Frank (Pat), J. Paul (Rosie), Vincent (Butch) and Jane Cloutier.
He is survived by: his significant other Joan Irene Gaynor Ryan; and his children, Beth Matejka (Jim) of Voorheesville, Anne Ryan of Rochester, Therese Stillman (Bart) of Guilderland, Robert L. Ryan, Jr. (Sherri) of Brunswick, Clare Sirois (Richard) of Maplewood, NJ and Stephen Ryan of Poestenkill. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
