He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Merriman; his sons, Peter (Anna) and Jake; his grandchildren, Sadie and Tully of Carbondale, Colorado.; his brother Robert "Butchie" Arlein (Vicki); his nephew Daniel (Rose); and his niece Nina.
