He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Katherine; his children, Kristin Bittner (Eric) and Robert Gipe (Amy); and his grandchildren, Kitt, Carter, Pavel and Penn.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Church Memorial Fund.
