He was predeceased by: his father Bernard T. Shaw Sr. of Auburn. He is survived by: his mother Pauline Shaw (Kromer) of Auburn; his wife Sandra Shaw (Jones); his children, Richard (Sarah), Alexsandra Sullivan (Dan), Bryan (Rebecca), Kathryn, Victoria Wilkes (Jay), Michael, Jenna, Daniel, Julia and Mary; his grandchildren, Amelia, Theodore "Teddy", Avery, Viola and Declan; his friend Doug Wilcox; his family, Ronald and Cynthia Jones (Lavey) of Aurora; and his siblings, Candace Searing (Richard) of Skaneateles, John Shaw (Susan) of Aurelius and David Shaw (Christina) of Sennett. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Bernard requested contributions be made to Tyburn Academy of Mary Immaculate, where all of his kids attended school.
