With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Valerie Ann Waby of Auburn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 1, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Walawender and Helen Walawender (Zabinski); her husband Frederick; and her siblings, Stella Swizdor, Joe and Adam Walawender.
She is survived by: her sons, David Waby (Kathy), Ronald Waby (Nancy) and Kevin Waby (Sue); her grandchildren, Mike Waby (Christine), Jason Waby (Meghan), Theresa Rohm, Brian Waby (Nicole), Amanda Desimone (Matt), Zachary Waby, Lisa Rion and Jamie Waby (Kristin); her great grandchildren, Brayden, Skylar, Christian, Elliana, Levi, Asher, Mia and Max; and her niece Patti Matthiessen (Tom).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pettigrass Funeral Home (196 Genesee St, Auburn, NY 13021). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
