She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kowal and Santa Tringali Kowal; her son Stephen; and her granddaughter Molly. She is survived by: her husband Stephen Komanecky Jr.; her children, Nichole Winslow (Adam), Trevor Komanecky (Suzanne), Lisa Komanecky and Paul Komanecky (Tiffany); her siblings, Joanne Komanecky and William Kowal (Cheryl); and her grandchildren, Stephen, Casey, Alexander, Hannah, Makenna, Morgan, Mason, Allison and Shannon. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many close friends.

Contributions may be made in Sue's memory to the Courtney-Komanecky Memorial Scholarship, c/o Auburn YMCA, 27 William Street, Auburn, NY 13021.
