The memory of Sonja M. Jones (Auburn, New York), who passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Sonja may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Sonja touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Helas and Mary Helas; and her daughter Kathleen Halstead. She is survived by: her daughters, Kelly Andrews (Dennis) of Syracuse, NY and Kerry Adair (David) of Geneva, NY; her grandchildren, Brittany Andrews (Andrew Hernandez), Shawn Andrews (Grace Smith), Ryan Andrews (Maria Smith), Colin DeRue (Cassandra), Elise Fucci, Quinn Adair and Brady Adair; and her sister Sandi Weiman (Bill). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
