With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Szakalski of Auburn, New York, who passed away on January 9, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Szakalski and Gloria Szakalski (Savarese); and his brothers, John and Michael. He is survived by: his close friend Valerie Garlock; his children, Rick Szakalski (Shannon), Lisa Marie Mott (Rob), Rikkilyn Perez (Jose) and Daniel Szakalski (Melanie); his grandchildren, Tessa, Richard J. III, Katelynn (Matthew), Abbigale, Brittney, Rebecca, Tiera, Damien, Zoe, Lacee, Daniel and Tanner; and his brother Louis (Carol). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
