He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bashta and Mary Sheftic Bashta; the mother of his children Irene Bandas Bashta; and his siblings, Stella, William, Michael, John, Alex and Pete.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Wilson (Alan), Claudia Bashta, Paula Gridley (Rick) and Nick Bashta (Denise) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Cuddy (Dan), Nicholas Wilson (Sarah), Jessica Gridley, Stephanie Festa (Mike), Alexis Bashta and Carter Bashta; his great grandchildren, Georgia Cuddy, Jack Wilson and Rocco Festa; and his close friend Nancy Sloan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
