He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Jesse Stephens and Hassie Ford Stephens; his brother Heyward Stephens; and his brother-in-law Sam Carnicelli. He is survived by: his wife Katherine Carnicelli Stephens; his daughters, Kimberly Walker (Tim) and Aimee Burgess (Len); his granddaughters, Megan Benfield, Emily Walker, Katie Hubbard, Lexie Hubbard and Dylen Burgess; his siblings, Jessie Easler (Larry), James Stephens (Priscilla), Hobart Stephens (Brenda) and Grady Stephens (Dorothy); and his brother-in-law Chuck Carnicelli. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
