Janet E. Somerville Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet E. Somerville of Auburn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 8, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Houghton and Bessie Houghton (Drake); her husband John B. Somerville; her son-in-law Brad Bishop; her great grandchild Bradley Clark; and her siblings, Donald Houghton, Alice O'Grady and Dorothy Rugar.
She is survived by: her children, David Somerville (Sherry), Nancy Rose, Cindy Major (Leo) and Ruth Bishop; and her grandchildren, Amanda Clark, Maureen Paur, Ryan Major, Jeffrey Rose and Aaron Bishop. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the White Chapel Funeral Home (2719 Erie Dr, Weedsport, NY 13166). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
