He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. Emerson and Wilhelmina Gabriel Emerson; and his siblings, Guy Emerson and Frieda Bulger. He is survived by: his wife Faith Annette Gamlen Emerson; his children, Simone Lanning (Eric Lanning), Michele Shaw (Scott Shaw), Beverly Emerson (Donald Rafferty), Eric Emerson (Lorrie Emerson), Amy Emerson (Daniel DiSanto), Jessica Emerson and Kialisha Prema Emerson; his grandchildren, Kiryn Lanning (Kristina Moon), Curtis Lanning, Elizabeth Shaw, Benjamin Shaw, Terri Rafferty, Garrett Emerson, Reagan Emerson and Aedan DiSanto; his great grandchildren, Emerson Lanning and Avery Lanning; his brother Peter Emerson; his nephews, Michael Emerson and Brian Sullivan; and his niece Barbara Emerson.
