He was predeceased by: his significant other Linda; his parents, Wilfred Fournier and Jennie Fournier (Lafountain) of Peasleeville, NY.; his parents-in-law, Henry and Martha Nelson; his siblings, Francis, Charles (Mary), Louis Fournier (Sally), Marie Reed (Farrell), Grace Nelson (Ted), Lena Rondeau (Burt), Maude Coon (Sam) and Margaret Fournier; his son-in-law Mark N. Pope; and his in-laws, Jack (Julia) and Tom Nelson (Marge).
He is survived by: his children, Maggie Fournier-Pope (Jerry Marking), Michelle Perkins (Jody), Wendy Connell (Aaron), Walter Fournier, Jr. (Jody) and Vickie Hart (Kevin).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Walter's memory to Hospice of the North Country - Plattsburgh or the Alzheimer's Association.
