He was predeceased by: his father Max Thwaits, Sr.; and his nephew Max Thwaits, III. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Hall; his children, Jody Thwaits, Jr. and Kelly Bezio (Jordan); his grandchildren, Jody III and Grady; his stepgranddaughter Peyton Sprague; his siblings, Max Thwaits, Jr. (Beth), Paul Thwaits, Dorinda Murphy (Tom), Tammy Devlin (John) and Amy Thwaits (Stephanie); and his siblings-in-law, Alex Hall (Hanna), Rusty Hall (Anita), Randy Hall (Kerry), Kelly Hall and Robin Miller. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Jay Volunteer Fire Department or the National Ataxia Foundation in memory of Jody.
