It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Mickalonis (Au Sable Forks, New York), who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard LaDuke and Veronica LaDuke; her siblings, Georgianna Rosio (LaDuke), Geraldine Mitchell (LaDuke) and Robert LaDuke (Bobby); her brothers-in-law, Russ Kelley and Wayne Mitchell; and her niece Tara LaDuke.
She is survived by: her son James LaPlante, Jr. (JC) of Clifton Park, N. Y.; her grandson Devin LaPlante (Kenzie) of Vt; her great grandchild Avery Lake LaPlante; her siblings, Edie LaDuke of Plattsburgh, Patricia Kelley of Keeseville, Sylvia LaDuke of Plattsburgh, Bernard LaDuke Jr. of Plattsburgh and Gordon LaDuke (Christina) of Schuyler Falls, NY.; her brother-in-law Bernard Rosio of Jay, NY; and her uncle Ronald LaDuke of Plattsburgh. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
