He was predeceased by: his daughters, Marian Brown and Susan Henderson; his grandson Wayne; his mother Jewel B Kane; his stepfather Elias "Jack" Kane; his siblings, Christine Hall, Marion Sephas and Henry 'Jack' Leslie; his stepsiblings, Eva Kane Thomas and Jimmy Kane; and his cousins, Billy Brown and Virla Clay.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine; his children, Bruce Simon, Norman Jones, Steven "Tutor" Brown (Kendal), Marcus Brown (Cheryl), James Brown (Nikalah), Carol Williams, Jewel Brown-Gregory (Johnnie), Eleanor "Lynn" Brown (Karen) and Tina Cook (Ligon); his grandchildren, Bruce Jr, Brian, Albrionna, Norman Jr, Tiffany, Danielle, Michael, Leaijia, Corey, Mario, Miguel, Quiahana, Jay Marcus, Tricia, Shawn, Sharise, Tracie, Catherine, Chloe, Cherokee, Zechariah, Marian, Nia, Jacqueline, Matthew, Micah, Faith and Zaylen; his siblings, Maude Hall, Gloria Hall and Kristopher Kane (Lacey); his goddaughter Donna; his cousins, Thomas Leslie and Stanley Leslie; and his niece Patricia Murray. He is also survived by several great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
