He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Russell Vernon Atkins; his sisters, Beverly Atkins, Joan Glynn and Virginia D'Aiutolo; his wife Janet Atkins; his son Russell Thomas Atkins (Jessica); his grandson Aedan Thomas Atkins; and his daughter Terry Doogan (Bruce) of Montgomery. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
