It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie T. Walker of Athens, New York, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Marie may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvatore Oropallo and Mary Oropallo. She is survived by: her husband Garth; her sons, Gregory and Thomas (Elana); her granddaughter Sarah of Peekskill, NY.; and her children, Nick and Jessica of Myrtle Beach, SC.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
An entombment will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
