He is survived by: his daughter Caroline Laura Gillaspie; his wife Janis Pforsich; his sister Mary Gillaspie Lee; his nephews, David Gillaspie, Jr. and Brian Hohla; his niece April Gillaspie; and his parents-in-law, Molly Hayes, Russell Lee, Bruce and Rosemary Pforsich (Kompa).
