He is survived by: his significant other Lillian Moore; his children, Lisa Van Loan Alexander (Diane), Julie Van Loan and David Van Loan (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Kristen Stegville, Thomas Murphy, Connor Murphy, Hayleigh Todaro, Emma Van Loan, Jillian Van Loan, Kayla Van Loan and Reese Van Loan; his great grandchildren, Theodore Murphy and Michael Todaro III; his sister Janice Harty; and his nephews, Norman Harty and Floyd Harty.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the W. C. Brady's Sons Funeral Home (97 Mansion St, Coxsackie, NY 12051). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the W. C. Brady's Funeral Home (97 Mansion St, Coxsackie, NY 12051).
