He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Yakman and Helen Yakman; his wife Cindy Sanford; his brother Bruce Yakman; and his sister-in-law Julene Sanford.
He is survived by: his former spouse Karol Guenter; his children, Douglas Sanford Jr., Brett Perez and Diana Isherwood; his siblings, Tony Sanford (Julene), Rhonda (Jack) and Helena (Dennis); his nephew Joe; his nieces, Helen, Joanne and Brianna; and his close friend Thomas Sheffer.
