He is survived by: his wife Annemarie (Kern); his children, Stefanie C. Wharton (Randy) of Ashville, Erika K. Stewart of Palmetto, FL and Kurt Stewart (Brandy) of Ironton, OH; his grandchildren, Caylin E. Shepard (Jason) of Roanoke, VA, Kendell M. Miller (Steve) of Ashville, OH and Braden L. Stewart of Ironton, OH; his great grandchildren, Suede Sheperd, Isley Sheperd of Roanoke, VA, Lily I. and Knox A. Miller of Ashville; and his sisters, Barbara Riddle, Patricia A. Rockwell, Charlotte P. Frame and Kitty Lou Stewart. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
