It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Brendan Thomas Malone in Armonk, New York, born in Astoria, New York, who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Irish; his friend Stan; his mother Catherine; his siblings, John, Kevin and Catherine; his wife Maureen; his children, Cara, Kevin (Tanya), Kelly, Michael (Jocelyn) and Shannon; and his grandchildren, Catherine, Patrick, Finn, Samantha, Sophia, Thomas, Kevin, Caitlin, Bridget, Waylon and Eamon. He was also cherished by his children.

“Coach Malone took my under his wing in my first year on the staff of the legendary Five Star Basketball Camp in Pittsburgh. I was a young high school coach from a small town in Ohio (Lima Central Catholic HIgh School} and slightly intimidated by the aura of 5 Star, which was basketball heaven in that Era. Brendan steered me through my first year and made sure I was included in all aspects of the camp including evening post camp runs. Mourning this great guy today.”
