She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy Martin and Julie Martin (Curles); her husband Daniel Dessaint; her son Eric Johnson; and her brother Marvin Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Stanley Johnson (Lisa), Debra Dessaint, Daniel Dessaint, Jr. (Christine) and Timothy Dessaint (Tracy); and her brothers, Phillip Martin (Georgia) and Marshall Martin (Diana). She is also survived by her grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
