He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman Potter and Hazel Potter (Olin); his brother William Potter; his son Edward Lyman Potter; his daughter-in-law Tammy Potter (Myers); and his grandson Matthew Hoag of Shaftsbury.
He is survived by: his sisters, Anna Mattison, Nancy Aldrich, Linda Cassano and Mary Williams; his spouse Jean (Harrington); and his children, James Potter (Kelley), Robin Hoag (David), Theodore Potter (Lynn), Victoria Novotny (Randy), Sue Pochop (Peter), Anthony Potter of Pownal, Brenda Phillips (Samuel Piper), Justin Potter (Jake), Mary of Tennessee and Loretta Snyder (Christopher). He is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Moose Lodge (916 Main St, Bennington, VT 05201).
