He was predeceased by: his brother Kenneth T. McWhorter; and his siblings-in-law, Maurice Kilmer, Shirley McWhorter, Edna McWhorter and Sandy.
He is survived by: his former wife Suzanne Way; his wife Sue McWhorter; his sons, Rick McWhorter (Heather) and Ron McWhorter (Gwen); his grandchildren, Tyler, Justin, Julie and Molly McWhorter; and his siblings, Earl McWhorter, Lois Kilmer, John McWhorter, Don McWhorter (Judy), Gordy McWhorter (Betsy), Paul McWhorter (Faith), Duane McWhorter, Mary Lou McWhorter and Dorothy Sherman (Gary). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
