“I was honored to know Bill while we attended the Naval Supply School in Athens, Georgia between January and June 1966; he had a findness for coffee and cigars. He left for Vietnam while I headed for the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea, serving close together but too far to visit. I was hoping to make contact with him somehow when I came across this obit. So sorry. My sincere condolence to Jane, Ethan and Jenny.”
