He was predeceased by: his parents, Griffin Sr. Smith and Wanda Smith; his wife Pennie Smith; and also, Terry Smith (Doc), Griffin Jr., Betty Smith, Preston Sr., Jean Smith and Lois Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Smith (Dawn) of Holland, Peggy Frost (Donald) of Andover, Marc Smith (Brenda) of Chaffee and Janet Mclaughlin (Marty) of Cheektowaga; and his in-laws, Sandy Smith, Merritt Smith and Bert Smith (Nancy). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
