With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gizela D. Kosmerl of Arcade, New York, who passed away on October 21, 2020 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Yansick and Emilia Yansick (Pushnar); her husband Otto Kosmerl; her son-in-law James Forsyth; and her sisters, Kristina Turk (late Joe) and Emilia Novosel (late Thomas).
She is survived by: her children, Karen Griffin of Deerfield, IL, Mary Jane Forsyth (Daryl Decker) of Delevan, John Kosmerl (Sharon) of Arcade and Patricia Whitacre (James) of Freedom; her brother John Yansick (late Shirley) of Arcade; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Whitacre (John Beltrami) of Buffalo, Stephanie Hogan (Tim) of East Aurora, Colin Kosmerl (Samantha Barnetson) of Freedom, Katherine Kosmerl (Bill Krueger) of Estes Park, CO and Carter Griffin of Ames, IA; her great grandchildren, Norah and Quinn; and her stepgrandchildren, Tony Forsyth (Chris) of Belgium and Babbette Forsyth (Luc Luyckx) of Belgium. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
