We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2022, at the age of 82, William F Smith of Appleton, New York, born in Jamestown, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentine Jaroszynski (Smith) and Lorena May Meehan (Smith); and his siblings, Dorothy (Harold Emmott), Valentine V. Smith, Jr. (Linda), Louis Philip Smith (Viola), James Michael Smith and Nancy Rose Williams (Steve).

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; and his children, Patrick Smith (Stephanie), Margaret Smith-Desmarias (Maggie) and Cathleen Smith (Catie). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Bill's family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation at http://give.roswellpark.org .
