He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Townsend and Norma Cochran Townsend; and his brother Larry. He is survived by: his wife Avis; his children, Jeffrey and Kimberly Walker (Justin) of California; his stepchildren, Amy Pedley (Kevin) of Lockport and Ronald Swift (Wende) of Burt; his sister Shelly Stranges of Lockport; and his friend Linette Pipiles. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
