It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marilyn Johnson Powell of Apalachin, New York, born in Syracuse, New York, who passed away on November 16, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Whitson and Dora Rudd Whitson; her husbands, Richard Johnson and Vernon Powell; and her siblings, Audrey Riggall, Leila Austin, Norman Whitson, Joyce DeGagne, Eloise Curtis, Beatrice Nebbia, Penelope Graham, Ronald and James Whitson.
She is survived by: her children, Christine of Apalachin, Richard (Patricia) of Cumming, David (Patricia) of Tucker and Darryl of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Face coverings will be required, social distancing and building capacity will be observed.
In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to A New Hope Center and Broome-Tioga.
