She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude Strope (Stephens) and Jobe Strope; her husband George; her son Dale; and her siblings, Agnes Tassey (Ed), Elizabeth Monell (Harold), Louise Peterson (Richard), Richard Strope (Mabel) and Robert Strope (Allie).

She is survived by: her children, Linda Van Gorden (Dale), Gail Abramo (John), LuAnn Van Hart and Jeff Van Gorden (Ellen); her siblings, Joyce Kwiatkowski (Bill), Douglas Strope (Maxine) and Jack Strope (Mary); and her grandchildren, Eric Van Gorden (Cathy), Heather Watts (Brian), Gretchen Thomas (Dwane), Scott Abramo (Nadene), Tammie Whitson (Pete), Joe Abramo (Stephanie), Erin Rudolph (Ray), Erica Johnson (Matthew), Emily Lattin (Charles), Garrett Van Gorden, Greg Van Gorden (Katie), Matthew Van Gorden, Collin Van Gorden and Hayley Van Gorden. She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
