It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roland Swan (Angola, New York), born in Vestal, New York, who passed away on May 27, 2018, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart Swan and Jesse Swan; his siblings, Stewart, Charles, Tom and Nancy Hugg; and his siblings-in-law, Sally Swan, Ila Swan, Dorothy Swan, Jeanette Swan and Bill Richards.
He is survived by: his sons, Steve (Kelly), Rick (Mary), Scott (Kim) and Todd (Laurie); his grandchildren, Jessica Andrako (Joe), Sarah, Casey (Nicole), Jordan (Abbey), Tricia, Lindsay, Kevin, Jake and Alex; and his siblings-in-law, Virginia Dix, Sharon Mumma, Carolyn Richards, Nita Swan, Mack Richards (Mini) and Kiler Richards (Brenda).
There will be a separate celebration on June 16 at Tracy Creek Memorial Church in Vestal, NY, with public greetings at 10:00, followed by a brief celebration at 11:30 with reception to follow at the Vestal Elks Club . In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to any of the following organizations: Tracy Creek Memorial Church in Vestal, NY where they spent so much of their lives, Fairview Missionary Church, Angola IN where they spent Rolly's final 10 years in fellowship, Lakeland Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Angola, IN or Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Angola, IN both of which provided tremendous support to Rolly during his numerous physical rehabilitations as well as peaceful comfort during his final days.
