She was predeceased by: her spouse Buffalo Deputy Police Commissioner; her children, Joanne Carey (William) and Patrick F.; and her siblings, Elizabeth Mumm and Robert J. Cartus.
She is survived by: her children, Eugene M. Gaughan (Kathleen), Mary Jane Burns (John), Daniel J. (Micki), Mark S. and Paul G. Gaughan (Chrisanne). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one greatgreat-grandchild.
