He is survived by: his children, James Jr. Golden (Sara Isaac), Lauren Golden (Brody) and Kendall Golden; his siblings, Andrew, Kyle Golden, Leanna Pierce and Patricia; and his grandchildren, James III, Khloe, Elvera Golden, Jeremy Isaac, Grady, Lena, Ben Jimerson, Anthony, Mariah and Tianna Abrams. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
